Elastic, powered by Emerald, is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our growing software sales team. Elastic works with the world’s most iconic retail brands – including Burton, Patagonia, The North Face, Vans, and more – to enhance their 365 digital commerce capabilities through our globally-adopted b2b SaaS ecommerce platform. Our products live in a quickly expanding and evolving space, and we’re actively pursuing growth to best support our core audiences.


As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for selling two recently-launched Elastic platforms – Digital Market, and Elastic Lite – which target emerging retail brands. This is a high-volume sales role where you’ll prospect warm and cold leads with custom messaging via email, over the phone, and through social media. Once you have a brand hooked, you’ll conduct live web demos of our software. And you’ll have to work closely and cross-functionally with our professional services, sales operations, and technical services teams as you manage your sales pipeline through to close.

We have other sales team members based in Denver, CO and San Juan Capistrano, CA, but candidates can be based anywhere in the US for this role.


  • Prospect leads within assigned verticals to develop new business opportunities
  • Qualify new prospects
  • Schedule demos, sales, and technical discovery calls
  • Conduct compelling virtual and in-person sales presentations
  • Maintain prospects and opportunities in Salesforce CRM to manage your pipeline
  • Share prospect and customer feedback with our development team to improve product offering
  • Attend industry specific trade shows to build brand awareness and generate sales qualified opportunities
  • Build relationships and upsell opportunities with existing client base


  • At least one year of demonstrated success in generating and engaging cold leads, preferably with a software / SaaS or similarly technical product
  • Comfort working with complex digital tools and technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM / Salesforce experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel
